Did you know you don’t have to run the full TotalSegmentator model every time?
By default, the “total” task runs five different models, each responsible for segmenting a group of anatomical structures — these are called tasks (like vessels, bones, organs, etc.). The combined result gives you the full segmentation.
But sometimes, you don’t need all of that.
Run Only the Models You Need
Let’s say you only want the scapula, femur, and humerus, there’s no need to run the full model. Instead, you can choose to run only the task that includes those structures.
- This saves time
- Reduces unnecessary output
- And gives you exactly what you need
